چکیده
We have studied the chromosphere of active binary systems using the information provided by several optical spectroscopic features that could be used as chromospheric activity indicators. The simultaneous observations of diierent lines, that are formed at diierent heights in the chromosphere (from the region of temperature minimum to the higher chromosphere), are of special interest for stellar activity studies since they provide very useful information about this stellar region. In Paper I we have analysed, using the spectral subtraction technique , and Ca ii infrared triplet lines of the RS CVn system EZ Pegasi have been studied. In this contribution we focus our study on the preliminar analysis of SOFIN echelle spectra (and Ca ii 8662 lines) of ve chromospherically active binary systems:

Multiwavelength optical observations of chromospherically active binary systems
Context. This is the fifth paper in a series aimed at studying the chromospheres of active binary systems using several optical spectroscopic indicators to obtain or improve orbital solution and fundamental stellar parameters. Aims. We present here the study of FF UMa (2RE J0933+624), a recently discovered, X-ray/EUV selected, active binary with strong Hα emission. The objectives of this work a...

We present here a continuation of our ongoing project of multiwavelength optical observations aimed at studying the chromosphere of active binary systems using the information provided for several optical spectroscopic features that are formed at different heights in the chromosphere (Montes et al. 1997, 1998; Sanz-Forcada et al. 1998). In this contribution we focus our study on the preliminar ...

We have analysed several multiwavelength optical observations (Hα, Hβ, Hǫ, Ca ii H & K, Ca ii IRT lines) of chromospherically active binary system OU Gem, taken in three observation runs: March 1996, April 1998 (using the SOFIN spectrograph and the Nordic Optical Telescope) and January 1999 (using the ESA-MUSICOS spectrograph and the Isaac Newton Telescope). The spectra show double Hα and Hβ ab...

We present simultaneous spectroscopic observations taken during four observing runs (1996 to 1999) of Hα, Hβ, Hǫ, Ca ii H & K, and Ca ii IRT lines of the chromospherically active binary BF Lyn. Both components have strong emission in the Hǫ, Ca ii H & K and Ca ii IRT lines and a strong filling-in of the Hα and Hβ lines have been observed after the application of the spectral subtraction techniq...
متن کاملOPTICAL PROPERTIES OF CO-EVAPORATED THIN FILMS OF BINARY Bi 0-Te 0 AND Bi 0 -V 0 SYSTEMS
Thin films of binary Bi 0 -TeO and Bi 0 -V 0 systems were prepared by the thermal co-evaporation technique in a vacuum at room temperature. The optical absorption edge of these systems are studied in the wavelength of 200-800 nm using a PERKIN-ELMER uv/Vis spectrophotometer. It is found that the value of n=3/2 in the Davis-Mott equation is best fitted for the fundamental absorption edge f...
